You can sign up for regular updates that provide regular information about the latest clinical trials and what they mean for patients in normal everyday English!. There is also a great section with diagrams and X-rays as well as a support section. Check it out!

People Living With Cancer"
The official patient information web site of our professional organization, the American Society for Clinical Oncology ("ASCO"). Because my partners are so supportive of me, I am able to go to the meeting which is usually held at the end of May or the beginning of June every year. I will be away at the ASCO meetings this year from June 1 thru 6, 2005. Not only does this site have a wealth of information about cancer (ALL types of cancer, not just breast cancer), it also has regular updates of new clinical research trials AND regular question and answer sessions with experts in the breast cancer field both LIVE and in WRITTEN form on the site.

MD Anderson has published a list of favorite books of cancer survivors (Oct 2005) headlined with the following quotation by Norman Cousins from his landmark book Antinomy of an Illness as Perceived by the Patient
"Ten minutes of genuine belly laughter had an anesthetic effect and
would give me at least two hours of pain-free sleep."
Some of these titles put me into a pain free zone! I'll try to get some of these for the office so you can browse thru them. Send me your suggestions for additional books and even with a commentary.
